| On the outside, X Factor's Frankie Cocozza seems to be enjoying every last minute of the fame the show has bought him, but behind-the-scenes, it seems to be a different story after mentor Gary Barlow called him "hard working."
Addressing the reports that he has received a telling off after going on a 12-hour bender, Gary said on Daybreak earlier today: "People miss out on a lot that goes on in the week. These guys work really hard off the camera and Frankie does put his hours in. He learns his song, he gets ready for the weekend but he also likes to go out, which is always the bit that’s reported. No one wants to report his hard work."
The judge also revealed that all the hours the hopefuls are putting in are worth it because its all practice for a career in the music business.
He added: "It’s all about the prep, because if you do this as a job that’s what it’s like. You’re out there working every day, you follow these people on Twitter and they’re out there from nine in the morning to eleven at night, every single day.
"That’s what it’s like if you want to make it and it’s good prep for everybody."
